We visited Washington DC on Tuesday, and the Capital was one of the many sights we saw.

Twenty-one eighth graders from central Maine are taking part in the Waterville Area YMCA's American Heritage Tour. While on this seven day tour they will visit the museums and memorials of Washington, DC then travel to Pennsylvania for tours of the Amish country and Gettysburg. Philadelphia is another stop for visits at Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and more. Finally, students will experience city life, as well as visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty in New York City.
